STRATEGIC CONSULTING
What better way to arm your technology decision makers than to draw off the understanding of individuals who have architected successful solutions for hundreds of organizations for over fifteen years. CVM’s strategic consulting relies on this experience to learn a customer's business, identify needs, and recommend technology solutions. Below are CVM's three strategic consulting services.
CVM's One Day ITA
For smaller environments CVM has productized its technology analysis: "CVM's One Day ITA". To perform this one day analysis CVM has developed a process of investigation and conclusion to give a customer another viewpoint regarding their technology infrastructure. The "CVM One Day ITA" is a great way to get an experienced organization to review your company's current systems and suggest changes and/or enhancements.
The intention of the “One Day ITA” is not to provide consulting effort to specifically analyze or implement a technology configuration to solve a problem. It is instead a look at the current infrastructure and the technology solutions it will support.
Technology Analysis
For larger IT environments CVM has developed a process to collect information, interview staff, analyze and report data, and summarize findings. This process typically involves a four to eight week consulting project which results in a substantial formal report that includes various dimensions of data and analysis viewpoints.
These larger analysis projects are best suited for customers considering a strategic business change and desiring to know if their current technology infrastructure and staff can support or facilitate the business change. Once again CVM’s value is in the fact that it has seen the successes and failures of IT in hundreds of customers over the past fifteen years
Software Selection
CVM has developed a proprietary 18 step method to successful software application selection. This method is comprised of four main phases:
- selection of team and development of requirements
- solicitation of potential vendors and review of materials
- organization of outlined demonstrations and selection of candidates
- testing of selected candidates in priority order.
CVM's methodology strives to identify the best possible application for a given businesses needs while reducing the burden on key staff who must participate in the selection process due to their unique understanding of the processes for which they are responsible.
