The kitchen was updated by the previous owners in 1996, I think (could have been '94 - I can't remember). It wasn't perfect, though. We carved a mudroom out of one end. We call it our dog's den because he spends all his time in there, but overall it's a useful addition. We painted this room last year, updated the hardware and installed new doors(note the french door to the dining room). It's a great kitchen...very bright.
The kitchen has one of two master control units for the security system. The thing is all wired up, but we've never had an active contract on it. The MBR unit is working, but this one in the kitchen is not. We had to cut the power when we did the renovations. We know it works because the whole house started screeching when we started clipping wires. Finally, we had to clip the power before our ears started bleeding. Presumably, it's still going off now. Our dog was so mad at us that he snuck upstairs (he's only allowed in the kitchen), dragged some clothes into a pile and peed on them. It was very funny. | ||
