Limerock Park, Memorial Day, 1998

Here are some action shots from Limerock Park. This was my first attempt to capture cars in motion (blurred background and wheels, etc.). With the help of some folks at photo.net, I was able to get some decent results on my first try. These are all Nikon 8008, AE, 1/60 shutter and 80/200 Sigma Zoom with manual focus, on Kodak Gold 100 print film. Believe it or not, I panned these shots without a tripod or monopod because I didn't feel like dragging one around the park with me all day. Of course, what you're not seeing are the other thirty or fourty shots that are at the town dump by now. These images were scanned from color prints with a cheap flatbed scanner, so they're really only vague interpretations of the originals, which are crisp and color saturated. Generally, the digital images on this site are free, according to the terms in my copyright. However, original prints (from negatives) are available for purchase. Matting and custom framing is also available. Contact me for prices, etc.
